Update to Covid precautions at Services

After a meeting of our PCC on Monday, it was decided that considering the consistently high and rapidly increasing number of Covid cases along with the emergence of the new Omicron variant, we needed to take some extra precautions to protect everyone who joins us for public worship services and to preserve your Christmas-time gatherings this year. Since our meeting, the Government has then moved to ‘Plan B’ which has confirmed our initial thoughts which are as follows:

We will be increasing the ventilation in the building by opening windows and doors, so please ensure you come wrapped up warm!! Please bring a mask with you which we will be asking for you to keep on for the duration of the time inside our building unless you have an exception. Don't worry if you forget as we have some spare for you to use!

We will be limiting the numbers to 100 for the more popular services so that we can ensure a little more distancing when we are all sat down. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis and the doors will open 15 minutes before the start of the services. If you have access to lateral flow testing before a service, this would be hugely beneficial to help to provide another line of defence and if anyone is experiencing any of the symptoms associated with Covid, please stay home to protect others from possible infection!

We will also be suspending refreshments for December to ensure that mingling is reduced whilst the cases are still so high.

We hope that you agree that the above precautions, whilst very unfortunate, are nevertheless wise and necessary at this stage to ensure that the risk of spreading this virus is reduced as much as possible, and hopefully increasing our chances of spending Christmas with our loved ones!
